Privacy Policy
Last Updated: December 17, 2025
Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect and how we use, disclose, and protect that information.
1. Information We Collect
Our service is designed to be used anonymously. However, we do collect a limited amount of information to operate and improve our services:
- Session Data: We create temporary session data when you connect with another user. This includes technical information required for the WebRTC peer-to-peer connection (such as SDP and ICE candidates) and the type of session (video or chat). This data is deleted when the call ends.
- User Metadata: To facilitate matchmaking and for analytics, we collect non-personally identifiable metadata, such as your browser's user agent, language settings, and a randomly assigned anonymous user ID.
- Age Acceptance Logs: When you confirm you are 18 or older, we log your anonymous user ID and a timestamp to our database. This log is used solely to manage your session's age verification status and for compliance purposes.
- Moderation Data: For safety, text messages and video frames are sent to our secure server for analysis by automated content moderation services. This data is processed for the sole purpose of detecting violations of our Community Guidelines and is not stored long-term.
- User Reports: If you submit a report against another user, we collect the information you provide (title, reason), along with your anonymous ID, the reported user's ID, and the call session ID. This data is retained for moderation and enforcement purposes.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and maintain the service (e.g., establish P2P connections).
- Facilitate matchmaking between users.
- Enforce our safety policies through automated content moderation.
- Investigate and act upon user reports.
- Analyze usage trends to improve our service.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We share data with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as content moderation. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
4. Data Security
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your information. Video and audio streams are transmitted peer-to-peer (P2P) using WebRTC, which is encrypted. Data sent to our servers, such as chat messages for moderation, is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected:
- Call session data is destroyed when the call ends.
- User reports are retained for as long as needed for moderation review.
- Age acceptance logs are retained for compliance purposes.
6. Your Rights
Given the anonymous nature of our service, exercising rights such as access or deletion is generally not possible as we do not link session data to a permanent personal identity. If you have concerns about your privacy, please contact us.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
